Star actress Rashmika Mandanna has played a little but important role in Dulquer Salmaan’s Sita Ramam which is going strong in the theaters. She impressed everyone with her performance as a muslim girl, Afreen in the film.
The actress is upbeat about the film’s success and response to her character. “I am on cloudnine because our two years of hard work paid off. Hanu told me Afreen has a great arc and I trusted him. Audience are saying the same today,” the actress said.
Rashmika says Afreen is the first violent character in her career. “It was a chalenge because I never did such a violent sort of character (laughs). But I know it is important to experiment and come out of the comfort zone to try a multitude of roles as an actor,” she added.
The actress is in high praise of director Hanu. “Hanu is a passionate filmmaker. He worked hard and I am happy for him afer this success. I sincerely wish he scores big hits in the future,” the actress told.
