Every Friday when some notable film release, we can see News Channels and YouTube Channel representatives lining up their mikes to the audience who come out after watching the 8.45 AM show in Prasads Multiplex, Hyderabad. By afternoon, the videos are out on YouTube in the name of Public Talk.
Some of the videos are very funny and absurd. We get to see some people do funny antics in the name of reviews and they are highlighted with even funny thumbnails. The videos go viral on social media bringing so many views for the YouTube Channel.
The videos are also cut and they are spread on other social media platforms. While this trend has started organically initially, slowly, in the pursuit of getting more views and traction, these antics are staged. We do not know if the YouTubers and the filmmakers are hands in hand in this but they are definitely staged.
At one stage, we would easily understand going by artificiality and over-action. If the filmmakers are involved, it is easily the most creative part of the film promotions. But if the users start to sense it, very soon there will be an expiry for this Pulihora as well.
