Most of the people think the old Manmadhudu was a blockbuster hit and a memorable one in Nagarjuna’s career. Of course, the film is one of the most remembered films of the hero but as everybody thinks, the film did not shower collections at the box office and Nagarjuna himself admitted that in a recent interview.
He corrected the interviewer who said Manmadhudu was a blockbuster as he says it was not when it first released and yes it received a lot of love and went on to become a blockbuster when it was filmed on television. The film was a hit of course but only at A centers and when it came on the television families loved to watch the film again and again in fact whenever it comes on the TV, even now.
Now Manmadhudu 2 is coming because of the brand value built from numerous television viewings of the first one for most folks think it was a blockbuster which was not really. Well, The star after long years is coming as Manmadhudu in the sequel (if you call it), as a more aged man who hates marriage and dates a younger girl under the direction of Rahul Ravindran. Let’s see if at least this makes those expectations true.
