By and large, Suriya is totally apolitical but for that one time when he talked about Jagan and his Padhayatra when Suriya was promoting his film ‘Gang’ on Sakshi channel. Except for this one instance, he is completely a non-controversial actor in Tamil Nadu and in the Telugu States, as well.
Being a Tamil hero, he has good stakes in Telugu films, though his recent films had failed to create any impact. Karthi is following his brother’s route and he is being liked and encouraged by the Telugu audiences. When you talk about politics, we know that politics in AP are no different from those in Tamil Nadu.
Now, we hear that Karthi was approached for playing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s role in YSR’s biopic ‘Yatra’. Well, it’s not confirmed, yet. Will Karthi take the risk of playing Jagan on the screen? If he does, it would obviously irk others. But, if he accepts Jagan’s role, it would be interesting to see him carry the YSRCP leader’s role on the screen.
