Amidst a lot of associations made by not only people but also speculations pointing towards Wuhan Institute of Virology with allegations that the institute accidentally spread the virus when it escaped the facility.
The director of the institute denied the speculations about the accidental escaping of the virus. As they have been conducting studies on coronavirus, they knew how to handle the virus samples. He alleged that some media outlets are trying to mislead people.
According to the Washington Post, contrary to the Wuhan Institute of Virology director’s claim, two diplomatic cables have been issued to the Wuhan labs in 2018 by USA science diplomats about the inadequate safety measures at the lab.
