Actress Kavitta Verma has been criticized for her offensive pose in a movie poster promoting her latest Bollywood movie ‘Policegiri’. The picture that shows her in a revealing outfit with a rosary on her body and the Holy Cross on her belly had raised a lot of criticism against her from the Christian community. In fact, the Christian Secular Forum (CSF) had even taken up the matter with the movie’s producersas well as the Censor Board and had demanded the offensive scenes to be deleted from the film and if they failed to do so, they would not permit its release next month.

However, the producers invited CSF general secretary Joseph Dias and others for a meeting along with Verma where Kavitta accepted her mistake and in a written apology said that she tenders an unconditional apology, knowing that the offensive picture had hurt the religious sentiments of the community.
