Suriya spoke about a lot of things during the live chat with his fans before his film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ starts streaming from 12th November onwards. The star was seen lauding his director for the way she was extremely demanding about everything regarding the movie.
She made him read the script and learn his lines before the shooting. He also had to be fitter and therefore, instead of 80% workout, he had to focus for 100% fitness. He also needed to play an eighteen-year-old as the director insisted him to play the teenage version, as well.
Besides this angle of Sudha Kongara, there is another angle where she is extremely careful about not wasting money and time. When shooting for a sequence that requires ain, Sudha calculated a lot to wait for the rain or to hire tankers.
‘Soorarai Pottru’ is loosely based on Air Deccan’s Gopinath’s life, but not his biopic totally. They have added fictional characters for the drama required. Sooriya has taken the decision to release the movie directly on Amazon Prime because there was uncertainty regarding the theatrical releases.
