Vijay Deverakonda has wrapped up the shoot of his maiden pan-India film, Liger. The film was supposed to hit the screens long back but the pandemic played spoilsport. Now that the team is done with its foreign shot, it is rumoured that they will soon announce a release date.
Strong buzz has it that the Liger team is contemplating arriving on April 1, 2022. If this happens then the Liger team will be locking horns with two big-ticket films – Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata in Telugu and Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect in Tamil.
Both Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and SVP are scheduled for April 1 release next year. But the million-dollar question is will Vijay Deverakonda take such a bad decision that would backfire on Liger?
Mahesh Babu and Madhavan have a good fanbase in their respective industries. So announcing his maiden pan-India project coinciding with the same date with two other big releases may not favour Deverakonda. Liger clashing on the same date would dent the openings which is not a favourable thing in pandemic time. So it is to be seen what date Liger chooses for its arrival.
