Victory Venkatesh is one among the fab four of senior stars which comprises of Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and Nagarjuna. In the recent past, all the three top stars have made a mark leaving Venkatesh. Many argued that he had managed his career poorly in the last stages. But, is that true?
If we look back at some of the choices of Venkatesh in the past few years, the senior star has been making the right decisions regarding the subjects, but most of them happened to be remakes which created pre-release excitement among younger lot. Still, he had a golden opportunity to show his box office power during Drushyam, Gopala Gopala and Babu Bangaram phase. The last one with Maruthi was a golden opportunity lost as that had a high buzz and was coming off two decent successes.
After Babu Bangaram, Venkatesh again went back to ‘content’ movie Guru, which did well but had a limited appeal, to begin with. There has been a long gap since then, and now, after all the years, Venky got the right movie in F2.
Once again, Venkatesh has a chance to make it big going forward. He has Venky Mama lined up next where he co-stars with Naga Chaitanya. If that is a success, Venky will have a golden opportunity for solo biggie with Trinadha Rao Nakkina’s movie. There is also speculation about a film with Trivikram Srinivas. We also know down the line a flick with Anil Ravipudi will also be happening. With this line up after F2, Venkatesh can genuinely make a substantial impact. Let us see if he can make it right this time around?
