Lockdown is going to pose a lot of challenges in the coming days and our Telugu Film Industry isn’t going to be an exception with regarding the talks about pay-cuts of the stars and technicians.
Tamil Film Industry folks are already discussing how to make the pay-cut idea possible in order to save the producers who would have invested their money or else have got it from the financiers.
Waving the interest in finances is one thing and going for a remuneration cut is something not in the hands of the producers. Tamil folks think that they can ask for a 30% pay-cut from the stars and technicians.
No one has brought this topic out in Tollywood, yet. Many films featuring big stars are in the making stage. The producers of those respective movies are in indefinite suspense over the lockdown effect.
Especially, makers of small films would have to suffer after this crisis period as it might be hard to even get a theatrical release competing with the big films that wouldn’t want to miss opportunities either.
