Will Stars Heed or Cut The Branch They are Sitting on? Telugu film industry’s future is at crossroads with no sight of normalcy. People like Suresh Babu and Rajamouli even went to the extent of saying that they do not see the theaters opening for the next eight months. This will crush the entire trade chain right from the producers to the daily-wagers of the theaters.

Chota K Naidu in an interview mentioned that the stars and other big earners should step in to save the cinema. “Take a fraction of the remuneration before the release. The rest will come only if the movie fares well. This should be done to save the cinema which fed us,” he says.

That definitely looks like a bit of sane advice but the question is if the star heroes who are used to make the big bucks heed to the advice. Majority heroes insist on clearing their remunerations before they finish the dubbing. Will they have the big heart to help industry tide over this crisis? is the question.

But not responding in this crisis will only mean cutting the branch they are sitting on. Let us see if they will be sane enough to follow this advice.
