In an encouraging development, both Radhe Shyam and RRR might be having paid premieres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, or at least that is what the latest updates imply.
Reportedly, plans are underway to hold Radhe Shyam and RRR’s paid premieres on 10 March and 24 March respectively.
If that really is the case, the box office prospects of these two pan-India biggies will take a big plunge. Paid premieres are a great source to generate substantial revenues and pair that with the hype surrounding these biggies, we can expect big box office numbers.
The point to be noted here is that RRR is a commercially packed action thriller and it can go on a record-breaking run on its opening day if it garners a positive word of mouth from the premieres.
On the flip side, Radhe Shyam is a classy love drama that might not necessarily cater to the masses. In case fans and the general audience don’t receive it well and the talk is dull, the premieres strategy can be counterproductive.
We need to wait and see how the premieres strategy will work out for RRR and Radhe Shyam.
