Will RRR Beat Rajini's 1995 Film?SS Rajamouli’s global blockbuster ‘RRR’ is all set to thrill cinema lovers in Japan. The team is priming up for promoting RRR in the Land of the Rising Sun. The movie is releasing in Japan soon for the Japanese audience and the Indian diaspora there.

NTR and Ram Charan along with SS Rajamouli have already flown down to Japan for the film’s premiere happening on October 21.

The highest-grossing Indian film in Japan is the 1995 film Muthu starring Superstar Rajinikanth. It grossed around ¥400M which is around 22 crores. Baahubali collected ¥365M, while 3 idiots did ¥149M. Sridevi’s English Vinglish and Prabhas’ Saaho also are in the top 5.

It would be interesting to see if RRR can beat the 1995 film Muthu and emerge as the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. Rajinikanth’s craze in Japan is unparalleled and if RRR can cross Muthu then it will be quite an achievement.
