Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and Young Star Vijay Deverakonda are two outsiders who have made it big in the Telugu cinema. While they belong to different generations, what remains common is their unique attitude. It was therefore interesting to see a clash between the two.
Ravi Tej and Vijay Deverakonda came close to box office clash on two occasions in the past. First, it was NOTA which was supposed to take on Amar Akbar Anthony. However, the latter postponed the initially announced date. Later, Vijay Deverakonda’s Taxiwala arrived unannounced on time, that was locked freshly by Amar Akbar Anthony.
The two films eventually came with a day gap between them. In the final run, we know which one is the winner. Taxiwala, despite delay and lead of movie comfortably beat Amar Akbar Anthony.
After a year later, the buzz is that again the films of Ravi Teja and Vijay Deverakonda will clash at the box office. It will be for the Republic Day weekend of 2020. Ravi Teja’s Disco Raja is announced for the date, and we hear, VD’s World Famous Lover is also looking at the same time.
The buzz on Disco Raja is currently better compared to World Famous Lover. But, with Ravi Teja totally out of form, and Vijay Deverakonda being a young hero on the rise, things could change pretty quickly. We have to see how it ends finally. Let’s wait for an official announcement from World Famous Lover, though.
