Rajasekhar is coming back with Prashanth Varma directorial ‘Kalki’ on 28th June 2019 after a siginificant gap he took post his decent outing ‘PSV Garudavega’.
No doubt, Prashanth Varma is talented as we have seen his work in ‘Awe’. ‘Kalki’ has garnered positive buzz by the virtue of its teaser that took the expectations a bit higher. At this point, it’s the trade that’s going to be interesting.
Though ‘PSV Garudavega’ got good word of mouth, it couldn’t collect much despite that. The reason is Rajasekhar, himself. His market was down with a long lseries of back-to-back failures that hurt the business of Garudavega.
But, ‘Kalki‘ is coming after a decent success like ‘PSV Garudavega’ and if it manages a decent talk from the opening shows, that might help in filling the theaters. So, it depends, you know!
So, the underlying threat comes in the form of the performance of ‘Kalki’. It might help Rajasekhar if it gets a good talk. Otherwise, audiences and trade will take him easy, again.
