Race Gurram is the upcoming film of Allu Arjun where the actor is for the first time paired up with Shruti Haasan. Surender Reddy directs the film which has reportedly completed its shoot few days ago. The question now on everyone’s mind is when will the film release?
The makers had initially though of releasing the film in the middle of April but with the lections dates announced a release then would mean film hitting the screens bang in the middle of elections which isn’t seen lucrative time to release by the trade. The election get over in the second week of May and the makers for sure can’t wait that long after the completion of the film which is why a latest talk is being heard that the film may come well in advance than planned.
An advanced released means the film will have to now deal with a clash and this clash would be with none other than Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film Legend. The Balakrishna film owning to its combination is already pretty hyped up and the promotional activities too are going in big time already where as Race Gurram is yet to begin its. When two such highly anticipated films clash loss in revenue is going to be a sure thing could both the makers take such a risk at this time?
March 28 (with Ugadi Holiday on March 31) and April 4 are the only two Friday windows available for release that could give a two or three weeks run for these films before the elections start.
