Vijay Deverakonda is teaming up with Puri Jagannadh for a film titled ‘Fighter’. The movie went on floors the other day in Mumbai. Puri is teaming up with Bollywood Filmmaker Karan Johar to make this film as a Pan-India film. So, the backdrop of the film is made in Mumbai.
This is not the maiden tryst of Vijay to attain market in other languages. Previously, he tried to impress the Tamil audience with NOTA and targeted the Malayali audience with Dear Comrade but disappointed on both the occasions. Vijay is targeting Bollywood as well with Fighter.
Puri just arrived to form with iSmart Shankar but then if someone asks if iSmart Shankar is something like a Perfect Product, it is not true. iSmart Shankar worked for various reasons. If Puri came up with a similar product with Vijay Deverakonda, it may not work.
The expectations on a Deverakonda film will be on different levels. Moreover, it is not easy to convince the other industry audience. So, Puri has to be extremely careful. The good thing about this Project is that Karan Johar will ensure good release and visibility in Bollywood.
