Natural Star Nani is a well-settled star now in the second league. There will be ups and downs, but one genuine success is enough to bring him back on track. However, here the question is about stagnation and not increasing the potential as a star?
Off late, Nani has been underperforming theatrically. He has had one of the best critically acclaimed movies in his kitty, but its revenues were not up to the mark. The films before that were all commercial though. The reason for this is the sameness we see in all the movies so far.
It is in this aspect, V is a critical film. Nani will be presented in an entirely new look and body language in the movie, at least that is the hope as he plays a negative role. Incidentally, Mohan Krishna Indraganti directs V. He is the one who has introduced Nani as an actor with Astha Chemma. Can the director reintroduce Nani is the million-dollar question?
We will get a glimpse of that with the teaser of V that comes our way on February 17th. The man in form, S Thaman has been roped in for the background score. Amit Trivedi provides the music. It is similar to what the latter had done on Sye Raa.
Dil Raju produces V. Sudheer Babu plays the lead cop role in the action entertainer. Aditi Rao Hydari and Nivetha Thomas are the female leads in the film which hits cinemas on March 25th.
