Nani DasaraNani delivered a surprise grosser with Bhale Bhale Magadivoy ($1.4 Million) in 2015 at the US box office. Everyone expected him to grow with his every film from there on. But, Nani has been stuck around the One Million mark and hasn’t been able to topple it.

His biggest hit overseas remains Jersey which grossed around $1.5 Million in 2019. It took him almost four years to cross the gross of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, which did around $1.4 Million. His last film Ante Sundaraniki also grossed around $1.15 Million at the US box office. Most of the Nani’s hit films grossed around one million in U.S.

The US box office did well during Sankranthi with two hit films, Waltair Veerayya & Veera Simha Reddy. The audience came to watch these films as a formality as a part of Sankranthi festivities. The expectations were very moderate on senior heroes and the directors, and the films did well at the US box office. There has been no film this year that created hype due to its making and which made the audience wait for its release.

Dasara is one such film that has created enough hype to make the audience anticipate it. The promotional material has created an impact, and also, the claims made by Nani that Dasara is going to be an important film for Tollywood have reached the audience. There is an excitement to see what Nani has to offer this time with Dasara, which he considers a career-defining film.

The lack of biggie after Sankranthi releases also has created a void, and the US Telugu audience is craving to see a kickass Telugu film.

Dasara is bound to get a good opening at the US box office, and if the film reaches the audiences’ expectations, then Nani might finally cross the collections of Jersey, and who knows, might even deliver a $2 million baby.
