Naga ShauryaJanuary was a fruitful month for Tollywood as Waltair Veerayya & Veera Simha Reddy set the cash registers ringing.

February also started on a positive note, with Writer Padmabhushan turning out to be a big success. Dhanush’s Sir also turned out to be a hit which was released last week. Kiran Abbavaram’s Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha is doing average business, and we will have to see if it can achieve the breakeven mark.

The next few weeks are going to be dull for Tollywood, with no major release. There will be small small-budget movies like CSi Sanatan, Balagam, and others. We will have to wait and see if any small film will spring a surprise at the box office.

The next reasonable ‘big’ film is going to be Naga Shaurya’s Phalana Abbai Phala Ammai, written and directed by Srinivas Avasarala. The film is produced by People Media Factory in association with Dasari Productions. The film is scheduled to release on 17th March.

The audience will be hungry by then to watch a good film on the big screen. If the initial talk for the film turns out to be positive, then Naga Shaurya has a golden chance to score a hit after a long time.

Till then, Sir will be the first preference for the movie-going audience, and Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha will also take advantage of this gap and will strive for breakeven.
