Naga Chaitanya and Samantha starrer ‘Majili‘ was scheduled to come to theatres on 5th April 2019. Several films that were scheduled to come in April might postpone to a later date as it is election time in both the Telugu States. The entire focus of the media would be on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections rather than the movies coming to the theatres.
However, if the makers of ‘Majili’ want to retain the same release date without postponement, it would be an advantage for them. The election season is also the season for ‘Cash to Vote’ season and hence, there would be liquid cash in the hands of the voters. Since ‘Majili’ will be coming a week earlier to the elections, the voters will have enough money to spend that watching an entertaining movie.
Moreover, there would be competition and a good word of mouth means Naga Chaitanya and Samantha starrer can reap rich benefits. But again, there is another doubt whether or not the movie can attract the masses in the B and C centres. It’s a big question, though. The content of ‘Majili’ will certainly not be a mass-oriented subject to attract mass audiences. Let’s see.
