Will-May-Continue-Success-–-Mahesh-Babu's-Maharshi-&-Other-Films-To-Look-ForwardTollywood has gone into a slumber post the blockbuster F2 for Sankranthi festival and only recovered recently in April with back to back four successful (minimum breakeven) films. Will the month of May continue it? Let’s look at the movies that are going to hit the screens.

May 9:

The biggest release of not only the month but the entire summer season is Maharshi. It arrives on May 9th. Superstar Mahesh Babu is coming with a new film after successful Bharat Ane Nenu. Vamshi Paidipally directs the movie whereas Dil Raju, Ashwini Dutt and Prasad V Potluri jointly produce the film. It is a commercial entertainer with a message. Will it become the highest grosser in the Superstar’s career overtaking Bharat Ane Nenu?

May 17th:

Although not officially announced yet, Nikhil’s Arjun Suravaram is expected to arrive in cinemas on May 17th. The long-postponed film has enough buzz courtesy the trailer and good premise. Will it give Nikhil a resounding success after a gap is a question on everyone’s mind.

ABCD:

Interestingly, ABCD (American Born Confused Desi) starring Allu Sirish is also a long-delayed film. It has announced multiple release dates but finally settled in on May 17th. There is a good buzz on it courtesy the music.

May 24:

Sita, the film starring Kajal and Bellamkonda Srinivas in Teja’s direction is locked for a May 24th release as of now. However, an official confirmation is required. Teja made a grand comeback with Nene Raju Nene Mantri previously and is hoping to continue the form. It will be a test for him as well as the lead actor Bellamkonda Srinivas who is struggling for success.

May 31:

The long awaited, and yes, another massively delayed project NGK starring Suriya will hit screens on May 31st. The combination of Suriya with Shri Raghava and Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh as heroines to boot is enough to check out the movie in cinemas.
