Director Teja is coming up with Ahimsa starring Daggubati Abhiram, who is making his debut with this movie. In an exclusive interview with M9News, Teja revealed many details about the film and also about his past and future projects.
NTR’s biopic was announced lavishly in 2018, starring Balakrishna in the direction of Teja. But after a few days, he walked out of the project as he felt he couldn’t do justice to the epic story of the legendary NTR. Director Krish replaced him later. The two-part film didn’t do well at the box office for various reasons.
In our exclusive chitchat with Teja, he was asked whether he felt disappointed that he couldn’t be a part of NTR’s biopic. Is there any regret for missing such an opportunity? Teja replied, “I don’t regret that I couldn’t make a film with Balakrishna. I have already rejected 70 films due to various reasons. But I definitely regret that I had to walk out of NTR’s biopic, as I felt I couldn’t do justice to his story.”
He added, “But making a biopic on NTR’s life will always be one of my dream projects which I will attempt someday, but in the form of web series. It is very difficult to cast any actor in the role of NTR. But if given a chance, I will cast Nandamuri Harikrishna’s grandson in the role of NTR as he looks exactly like the legend and his name is also NTR.”
