Kerala is the first state in the country which has given a green signal to start off the Post-Production works of the film. The state government has asked the filmmakers should ensure that only less than five people are working at a time during the Post-Production.
Several other states are expected to follow this suit. But then, the questions are that if the film industry will really welcome this. “This is just a very little relief. It may bring work to a handful of people. But when there are no chances to release the films, it does not matter much if the Post-Production is completed or not,” analysts say.
The nationwide Lockdown is extended by two more weeks. As per the indications, the country is easing the norms in phases. In that case, opening the theaters will be in the last of their lists. Some senior filmmakers say that the theaters may not even open this year.
In Andhra Pradesh, there are around 1,600 cases while in Telangana, there are over 1,000 cases.
