Rajamouli never settles for anything less than outright perfection. He usually spends months together on the editing table while his films are in post-production phase. That is the reason why almost all of his films get postponed multiple times even after the release date is officially announced. Same happened with RRR. The film was supposed to release on 30 July last year but it was postponed due to delay in shoot owing to Covid pandemic.
But it appears to be that Rajamouli is no mood for further postponements. He looks set to wrap up RRR shoot at the earliest in order to make sure that the film releases on 13th October, as announced initially. He is getting things done at a surprisingly brisk pace now, which isn’t necessarily a term one would associate with Rajamouli.
Rajamouli is said to have ramped up RRR’s post-production works as well. In the view of the fast-approaching deadline, he won’t be spending as much time as he usually does on the editing table. There are a few strong reasons behind it.
Ram Charan and Jr NTR have dedicated over 3 years for the project and they have lined up other commitments now. They wish to wrap up RRR at the earliest. Steep rise in productions cost due to postponements I another reason.
With so much pressure being asserted on him, Rajamouli will have to rush the post-production of RRR. Will this decision comeback to haunt him? We will know the answer on 13th October, of course only if the film releases on this date.
