One name that’s constantly being heard in southern film industry is that of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam, which is being remade in Tamil, Telugu as well as Hindi. While Kamal Haasan is doing the Tamil remake, and i think he would be apt for the role originally played by Mohanlal, who is as old as Kamal in real life.
In Telugu, however, Venkatesh has expressed interest in the remake of the film, which will be directed by actress Sripriya. I strongly feel Chiranjeevi would make a great choice for the Telugu remake and it will undoubtedly be a landmark film in his career as he is just one shot of 150th film. I seriously wonder why Chiru has not expressed interest in such a wonderful film and for a change he can do a role sans heroism and cliches. I feel it will be a great film to bid adieu to his acting career and concentrate on politics. Venkatesh can do comedy very well but i can’t see him doing a convincing job with a serious role, and, therefore, feel Chiru will do a great job.
Drishyam has turned out to be the biggest hit in Malayalam industry so far. Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn are being considered for the Hindi remake of the film. Let’s see who finally gets the opportunity to play this role in Bollywood.
