Jagan Mohan Reddy may influence witnesses-CBINampally CBI Court has dismissed the petition of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the Exemption from the Personal Appearances to the Court every Friday. When YS Jagan became the Chief Minister, everyone thought that it is more or less a formality that he gets an exemption from the Personal Appearances.

Moreover, YSR Congress is trying to be as friendly as possible with the BJP led Central Government. CBI has taken a hard position surprising everyone. alleging that Jagan tried to influence the witnesses while he is an MP and he could do that once again now that he is the Chief Minister of the State.

CBI also brought to the notice of the court how IAS Officer Sri Lakshmi and the other Officers who are accused in the cases trying to get postings in Andhra Pradesh. The court agreed with the CBI’s argument and refused any exemption for the Chief Minister. More than this refusal, YSR Congress is worried about the future.

Having already accused Jagan of trying to influence witnesses, the apprehension is that the CBI during the course of the trial could ask for the cancellation of the bail to Jagan and Vijaysai Reddy. Should it happen, the Chief Minister going to jail will create political turmoil in the YSR Congress as well as Andhra Pradesh.
