Megapower Star Ram Charan bust onto the scene with the fan pleaser Chirutha. It had everything and was all that the fans needed. He was a star as fans embraced him. The epic Magadheera followed it, and his career as a star was settled among the top league.
Post-Magadheera, he disappointed fans with his “personal” choice Orange. It led to the star shelving another “personal” choice Merupu and opt for a safe commercial venture Rachcha. Its success made him take multiple mass ventures back to back which generated monotony.
Amidst that monotony and subsequent change of genres to break it, the star lost his opening power. Things turned worst because even the other attempts were mostly half-baked with no real success. The best of the lot Dhruva got affected by Demonetization. But the success nonetheless made him take Sukumar’s Ragasthalam 1985.
