Vijay Deverakonda is entering the pan-India market with Liger and he will follow it up with JGM. Meanwhile, he has taken Kushi onto the floors. Interestingly enough, this film is not getting a Hindi release.
Kushi is apparently set in Kashmir backdrop. If that is the case, Kushi would have perfectly suited the sensibilities of the North audience.
As per latest buzz on social media, Vijay will be seen as a Muslim and Samantha will be seen as a Kashmiri Pundit’s daughter. In that case, there is good scope for a controversy which could have also helped the film’s box office prospects.
Regardless, Vijay has decided to skip Hindi release for the film. Well, one of the reasons could be that the director of the film Shiva Nirvana is known for making sensible love dramas. His style of narrative doesn’t suit the current mindset of the Hindi audience. So, that might be the reason why Kushi is skipping theatrical release in Hindi.
