Director Praveen Sattaru has created a brand with his style of films, which may have not turned out to be box-office hits. After his last film Chandamama Kathalu, Praveen is now contemplating a film on the life of Indian badminton champion Pullela Gopichand. Apparently, Sudheer Babu will playing the lead role of Gopichand as he himself is a national player.
Praveen said that since Sudheer has trained under Gopichand for four years, and therefore, he thought it would be apt to cast him instead of some other actor. He added that the purpose of the film is to celebrate the achievement of an Indian sportsman, and therefore he said it would be wise to cast someone who at least plays the sport for fun. This will definitely be a great film if Sattaru manages it off. He also said that he hasn’t decided on the cast yet and the story will feature a heroine.
Praveen is currently busy scripting the film and is not sure when will it go on floors. He said that it will take time as he plans to release the film in Telugu, Hindi as well as English.
