regina-liplock

Our Telugu films have had women in skimpy clothes and dancing to item numbers, rape scenes, brutal violence against women, double ententes and so on and so forth. But i still understand why do we have a problem with a small lip-lock scene in our films. Firstly, our lip-locks are hardly as passionate as the ones in English movies. Therefore, i don’t understand why we make such a big deal about it.

The latest news is about a lip-lock scene between Sundeep Kishan and Regina in ‘Ra Ra Krishnaya’. All papers and websites have been talking about it like it’s some sin to kiss on screen. What these people don’t realize is that all these articles are bringing the makers free publicity, which will only work in the favour of the film. Sadly, even the censor board is treating a lip-lock scene with so much of strictness. Apparently, the censors was not ready to give the film U/A certificate because of this scene and instead presented an A certificate. The director was also not ready to budge and happily walked with an A certificate.

The question here is why have we become so intolerant to kissing in films. Don’t tell me your kids are spoiled because of this small scene because there are so many things that have had worst effect on them and this happens to be the least worrisome of all.
