Let’s make it clear at the beginning that Puri Jagannadh will continue to make movies. There is no stopping for him in that regard. But the problem that we would like to point out here is, will any top star work with him?
This is where Ism becomes very crucial for him. For Puri Jagannadh to work with the big heroes Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR and the likes, he would have to deliver a bona fide success which is also good on content. The director has been banking on stars on success streak and makeovers than actual content in the movies. If the director showed his frustration today that Mahesh Babu is not responding then the problem lies with him.
Ism is the biggest budgeted movie in the career of Puri Jagannadh. It has a hero who has completely surrendered to him and didn’t have any diktats of his own. The responsibility of the director, therefore, increases many folds. A success here guarantees him a film with Jr NTR and possibly a film with Mahesh Babu in future. A failure means he has to settle with low-key films till some star decides to take a chance with him. Will Puri Jagannadh prove his worth?
