Dasari is one among the senior most filmmakers in Telugu industry. His word is taken seriously almost by everybody in the industry, and therefore, he is also mostly invited to most events such as audio and film launches.
Dasari, however, is upset with the fact that the industry is planning to celebrate Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s birthday, which falls on Sep 20, on the opening day of the centenary celebrations of India cinema, starting from Sep 21. Dasari feels such events such not be used as a platform to celebrate birthday of any individual.
He says the event is to celebrate the success of Indian cinema, an industry, but not any single person or his achievements.
