Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya’s pre-release events were conducted grandly in Andhra Pradesh. We have all seen how Jagan’s government troubled the makers of both films to grant permission for these events.
Balakrishna’s rivalry with Jagan is obvious because both come from rival political parties. Chiranjeevi’s buttering tactics to impress Jagan also went in vain and Waltair Veerayya’s pre-release event was given permission after many hurdles.
So everyone was wondering why the makers didn’t organize the events in Hyderabad where things would have been smoother.
Chiranjeevi’s Acharya pre-release event was organized in Hyderabad (Nizam), whereas GodFather’s event took place in Anantapur (Rayalseema). Chiru wanted to cover all parts of Telugu states and hence Vizag was chosen as it comes under Uttarandhra.
Veer Simha Reddy is director Gopichandh Malineni’s biggest film and it was his wish that the pre-release event of the film should be organized in Ongole, his hometown.
So despite knowing that Jagan’s government would make things hard for the makers of both films, still they went ahead and conducted the events in Andhra Pradesh.
