A little while back, there was some news about a remake of the super hit Tamil movie ‘Ramana’ (Tagore in Telugu) featuring the Bollywood star Akshay Kumar in Krish direction and there were rumors about the role of the female lead being played by actress Shruti Haasan. However, after hearing the latest news it seems like the new star Amala Paul will bag the role.
The movie will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and from what we hear it will be titled ‘Gabbar’. The lead actress for the film has not been decided yet but reports say that earlier actresses like Kajal Agarwal, Ileana D’Cruz, Tamanna Bhatia and Shruti Haasan were being considered for the role with Shruti being the shortlisted potential heroine. However buzz is that since the return of Akshay from his Maldives holidays, they have been considering actress Amala for the role. Let’s see who bags the role!
