Even after 16-years of release of Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, the film still generates the same love even now. The film proved to be a major turning point for many, including director Prabhu Deva, music composer Devi Sri Prasad and actors Trisha and Siddharth.
Producer MS Raju said that post the success, there was no looking back for them. But here comes the twist, that not many know that the team members were apprehensive about Siddharth and Prabhu Deva.
“Many criticized me for casting Siddharth. In fact, the Paruchuri brothers, especially Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao said that he doesn’t fit into the character. Post the poster release, some even passed comments as to how a hero is looking like a girl, but it did not deter me as I was keen to cast him only,” said MS Raju.
The producer added that the same was said for Prahu Deva too. People raised doubts how he can become a filmmaker, but post the success, he got numerous offers as a filmmaker. “If I have to look back, all of them are doing good in their professional space, it is only me who is still trying to figure it out,” says the producer.
