Which Dussera 2021 Treat Is Best Bet At BO?For the Telugu film industry, the Dussera festival is the second-best season after Sankranthi. The long holiday period is the reason for it. Every year there will be a biggie for Dussera for the same reason. However, this time there are three medium-budget flicks and a couple of small ones. We take a look at the best bets from them.

The first one to arrive is Konda Polam starring Vaisshnav Tej. It comes a couple of days before the holidays start, but that is alright as the first weekdays fall during the holiday period.

Konda Polam is Vaisshnav Tej’s second movie after the blockbuster debut with Uppena. Critically acclaimed director Krish helming the project and the unique setup has generated some buzz. But, the lack of premieres shows and preview shows is causing some doubts in the audience mind. If this clicks, it would be a dream beginning for Vaisshnav Tej.

The second one is Maha Samudram. This, too, is the second film, but instead of the hero, it is for the director Ajay Bhupati of RX100 fame. If it’s a success, not only Sharwanand (and Siddharth) but Ajay Bhupati also reaches the next level. The mass genre, action, romance and drama are its biggest strength.

And finally, the third one is Most Eligible Bachelor. It stars Akhil in the lead and is helmed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. Both the actor and the director are in dire need of success. Being the only family entertainer appealing to urban and the US audience, MEB has a slight advantage over others.

Among the three, the best bets (based on pre-buzz and genre) are Maha Samudram, Most Eligible Bachelor and Konda Polam in that order. We have to wait and see if the movies also fare similarly or if there is a surprise or two.
