‘Gandhi cinema Indialo aadadhu, adhey Kadapa King ani cinema thiyyi, 100 days 200 centers’. this is a popular dialogue in Mahesh Babu’s Pokiri movie which released some 6-7 years ago. The dialogue holds true even today. Last year, director Janardhan Maharshi made a devotional movie titled ‘Devasthanam’. There were hardly any theaters to screen the movie neither people showed interest in watching it. Finally, the director had to content with few award mementos.
And now, the same Janardhan Maharishi is a making a movie with the story of a Prostitute with Shriya Saran in the lead role. And the trade is abuzz with the inquires about the movie. The makers are confident that the movie will do well at the box office. Such is the irony of life!
