trisha varun engagementIt was Black Friday for millions of fans of actress Trisha Krishnan, who got engaged to entrepreneur-producer Varun Manian amidst their families and close friends from the industry. A reigning southern damsel, Trisha is no longer single and this news will break a million hearts that have been beating for her. The couple who had been dating for the last few months is yet to announce their wedding date but sources reveal that they’ll tie the knot in the next few months, most likely in June. And the great news is she will continue working in films.

The engagement ceremony happened at Varun’s posh residence in Chennai. While he chose to sport a simple white dhoti, Trisha, living up to her celebrity status, wore a special saree from Pothys, customized by popular fashion and costume designer Neeta Lulla. To perfectly match with her saree, Trisha chose to wear jewellery by NAC jewelers. According to a close source, Trisha chose these brands as she endorses them. The biggest highlight of the ceremony was a Harry Winston diamond, a 4.5 solitaire ring in platinum setting that was gifted to Trisha by Varun, who has also agreed to fund the animals at Chennai Adoption Drive (CAD), a welfare organization dedicated for animals, for a year.

Trisha started dating Varun after her rumoured ugly breakup with Telugu actor Rana Daggubati, the two are said to have dated for a few years. But it has to be admitted that Trisha has been extremely happy ever since she met Varun. Maybe he’s her prince charming and they’re all set to live happily ever after. With her wedding around the corner, everybody is eager to know whether Trisha will quit acting or not. While she has confirmed in the past that she will continue acting and is also on the verge of signing two new Tamil projects, her fans worry if she will change her mind in the last minute. Having ruled the southern filmdom for over a decade, Trisha went from a beauty contest winner to one of the sought-after actresses ever to have worked with all the stars across languages.

Currently awaiting the release of Ajith-starrer Yennai Arindhaal, she also has Bhoologam and Appa Takkaru in Tamil. In Telugu, she has Lion with Balakrishna, and is soon expected to sign another big-budget project.
