There are a fair few modern day actors who rose from rags to riches and here is the story of one such superstar who previously used to work at a fast food joint to make a living.
The superstar in discussion is Vijay Sethupathi, fondly referred to as Makkal Selvan (People’s treasure). As revealed by himself, Vijay used to work at a fast food joint before making it big in the film industry.
“I used to work at a fast food joint during my college days as I had to support myself. I used to receive a salary of Rs 750 per month. One of the main reasons I worked at this place was that I could have a free of cost meal everyday,” he said.
Cut to now, Vijay Sethupathi is one of the highest paid actors in Indian cinema. Filmmakers have to wait for at least 6 months or so to get his dates. Well, dedication and persistence yield rich dividends in the long term and Vijay Sethupathi is prime example of the same.
The versatile actor was recently seen in Uppena. Now, rumors are rife that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the male lead in Rakshasudu 2. But an official announcement is awaited.
