For those who don’t already know, Pawan Kalyan’s original name is Konidela Kalyan Babu. Here’s the actual story behind the name change.
Back in 1997, Kalyan gave a martial arts presentation at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Secunderabad. Impressed with his demo, Isshin-ryū Karate India association conferred him with the title ‘Pawan’ which holds a significant value in the martial arts world.
This is how Konidela Kalyan Babu became Pawan Kalyan and went on to reach great heights in the Telugu film industry.
Pawan Kalyan was the foremost disciple of world renowned Karate expert – Shivam Hussain back then. His ‘breath-taking’ Karate demonstration earned him a great deal of respect in the martial arts fraternity.
On the work front, Pawan Kalyan is busy with the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. He is also scheduled to commence shooting for Hari Hara Veera Mallu very soon.
