Victory Venkatesh is entering a new phase in his career as he is going to make his debut in the OTT space with the web series Rana Naidu.
The show will start streaming on Netflix on March 10. Directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma, the show is the official adaptation of the American crime drama Ray Donovan.
The trailer of the series was unveiled a few days ago, and the response has been mixed, especially for Venkatesh.
Venkatesh has been a favorite of the family audience because of his clean and family-oriented films. But in this web series, he is seen hurling abuses and using vulgar language, which is quite uncomfortable to watch for a section of the audience.
Some netizens say that his hairstyle in the series also doesn’t suit him. Many are commenting on what’s the use of doing such a role at this stage of his career and ruining his legacy after watching just the trailer.
But we believe that an actor should experiment with all kinds of roles. OTT platforms have given a chance for all actors to do some experimental roles which they couldn’t have attempted in the usual movies.
It’s a different experience to watch Venkatesh in an unfiltered, bold, and raw role, but yes, his getup should have been taken care of in a better way.
