After the debacle of Kadali, audiences have had great expectation from Maniratnam on his next project, which supposedly is a bilingual featuring Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu. While Nagarjuna and Mahesh have expressed interest to work in the project, Mani is finding difficulty in zeroing in on his leading ladies. The buzz is that he has roped in Aishwarya Rai as one of his female leads.
Ash, however, recently confirmed that she has only been approached by Mani, but hasn’t confirmed his project yet. Mani had also approached Sonakshi Sinha for the project, but the buzz is that she turned down the project citing date issues. Therefore, Mani still hasn’t has selected his leading ladies yet and is likely to spend more time on finalizing his lead cast. Who will get the big opportunity to work with Mani? We have to wait and see.
The project is said to be made in Telugu as well as Tamil. Mani, who has produced several of his own films, will also produce this project under his home banner Madras Talkies.
