Having acted in a string of unsuccessful, Srikanth had been looking forward to his latest venture. Unfortunately, his latest film Devaraya with actors like Meenakshi Dixit, Vidisha, M S Narayana, Ranganath, Balayya, Jayaprakash Reddy, Jeeva, Sivajiraja, Radha Kumari and others, failed to impress its audience.
The film narrates the story of a villager Dorababu, played by Srikanth, who has always for cards, drinks and women, but becomes the protector of a temple when a villain lays his eye upon it. In the wake of this confrontation, Dorababu learns more about his past. Also in the backdrop is Dorababu’s love story with Sapna, which is played by Vidisha.
Unfortunately for the filmmakers, the script was poorly executed with glaring plot holes. The scenes and the placement of songs also does not do much to redeem the film. Weak screenplay, substandard graphics and lack of emotions also combine to create a film with low entertainment value!
