What Is Wrong With Mahesh Babu Spyder Telugu theatrical rightsSpyder is the upcoming highly anticipated movie of Superstar Mahesh Babu. It also is the star’s first-time combination with sensational South Indian director AR Murugadoss. It was a combination waiting to happen for ages, and when it got announced, it was the next best thing to only Baahubali. Right now, that doesn’t look like the case.

To know the power of brand AR Muragadoss, one has to just look at the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights. Fancy price is paid to acquire them. Not only that, Tamil version’s overseas rights too are taken. The director has done his part and proved the worth of why he got opted in the first place. He has got Spyder a good deal in the non-traditional markets for a Mahesh Babu film.

The problem for Spyder is coming locally from the Telugu states. It is without any doubt surprising and baffling, to say the least. The business for the movie with a teaser out is not yet complete, and the offers aren’t encouraging. The title and subject giving vibes of 1 Nenokkadine are said the reason. Add to it the last movie of Superstar Mahesh Babu being Brahmotsavam and implementation of GST. All these different factors have come together and ultimately affected Spyder business. The same wouldn’t be happening if it were Bharat Ane Nenu but then it wouldn’t have had the non-traditional market business.

All said and done the hesitation to buy the rights despite a crazy combination shows the weakness of Superstar in selling a movie. We are sure a fantastic teaser or trailer would be unveiled soon that will lead to the closure of business, but if that is what is need of the hour for a combination like this, it surely isn’t a sign of strength as far as stardom goes.
