What Is Thalapathy Vijay Doing Right, and Our Tollywood Stars Doing Wrong? Tamil star Vijay Ilayapathy’s recent release ‘Bigil’ (‘Whistle’ in Telugu) collected an opening share of approximately Rs. 2.8 crores. Even his previous release ‘Sarkar’ also got more than Rs. 2 crores as an opening share.

Obviously, this tells us that Vijay is growing here in the Telugu States gradually and steadily. Vijay is unlike our Telugu stars who are giving up on Tamil market one after the other. But, Vijay never gave up and he had the best opening in the recently dubbed films.

This decent opening share will help him again with his next film to open better. Take the case of Mahesh Babu who gave up the Tamil market after ‘Spyder’. Nani also tried a couple of films and gave up. Why are our stars forgetting that Tamil market is huge?

Vijay Deverakonda also tried Tamil market but with no success. His next two films might be only Telugu releases without Tamil dubbing versions. Other second league stars have tried, but not consistent.

Allu Arjun’s movies are going as dubbing versions into Malayalam but hope, he would understand the importance of Tamil dubbing versions, as well. Our stars need to believe that they can gradually grow if they are consistent like Vijay Ilayapathy.
