RRR_Jr NTR_Ram CharanThe theatrical trailer of RRR is out and it has hit it out of the park as far as Telugu audience is concerned. They are bowled over by Rajamouli’s vision and elevation featuring the two top mass stars of Telugu film industry, Jr NTR and Ram Charan.

But, what about the reaction of the Hindi audience, who are critical to the pan-India success of RRR? Here are a few shocking and not so shocking revelations.

Those who are already aware of RRR are sold out with the trailer. They are ready to show up for the biggest screen possible and can’t wait for the theatrical experience.

The hardcore Hindi belt audience are disappointed to know that Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt don’t have big roles in RRR. Many were shocked to see only a fleeting glimpse of their favourite stars.

People who have doubts, but know that RRR comes from Baahubali maker (SS Rajamouli) are now keen to give RRR a try.

A section is disappointed with the lack of presence of a strong female lead in RRR. They are aware of Rajamouli’s Baahubali, but missing a female presence like Anushka.

And finally the entire concentration on Telugu stars, Jr NTR and Ram Charan, has left a few underwhelmed. The lack of connection with the leads makes the whole affair ordinary for them.

While these are different reactions, the bottom-line is the RRR trailer has initiated a conversation among Hindi folks for the first time. It is akin to the times of character intro glimpses of the stars for the Telugu audience. A lot now depends on the forthcoming promotional plans to carry the momentum ahead.
