There is less than a month time, and still, we hear no sound from the unit of Sye Raa. The Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer as we all know is slated to hit on October 2nd.
After almost a year, Sye Raa team came up with a new teaser. It gave a re-launch of sorts to the publicity of the movie, but since then (it came on August 20th), they have gone total silent. Agreed, there was another big movie releasing, and it was better to let the heat pass. However, it is almost a week now. The buzz was over after the weekend.
Now, the unit has to build the buzz again. It is heard that a song will arrive next, but before it comes, there has to be some activity. Looking at the current state, it might not happen over the weekend at the least.
Sye Raa has to deal with massive competition in the form of War. They have been on the dot as far as publicity is concerned. The first teaser was showcased round the clock, not only in Hindi but also Telugu. Now, they have unveiled the first song as well. When the opposition is so strong, Sye Raa too has to be on their toes. The mere presence of star won’t help in taking buzz multi-folds.
Given the costs involved and recovery needed, the interest to watch the movie should be at peaks. Not only the opening day, but bookings must also be made for the subsequent days well based on the hype. With the current buzz, a mid-week release and competition mean the chances to fizzle out will be faster compared to the recent biggie. Sye Raa unit should be aware of these factors. Here’s hoping they take notice of these and get going as soon as possible.
