Director AR Murugadoss’s last movie ‘Darbar’ with superstar Rajinikanth was a complete failure and if we look at his recent filmography, we can see that it was in 2014 he delivered his last blockbuster movie ‘Kathhi’.
After that, all his movies were either average or below average in both content and performance at the box-office including the utter flop with Mahesh Babu. However, he has been lucky enough to grab offers from top stars despite weak content.
Now, we hear that his next movie might be with Tamil top star Vijay Ilayapathy. The project is still in the preliminary stages and nothing is confirmed yet. After a below average output like ‘Darbar’, it’s surprising to see him being in talks with a top star like Vijay.
Director Murugadoss worked with Vijay earlier and the duo delivered a couple of blockbusters. Nevertheless, the track record of the director has been disappointing in the recent past for more than half-a-dozen years. Let’s see if Vijay chooses to go with Murugadoss after his current movie ‘Master’.
