Shruti Haasan is on a roll these days as two of her big films are releasing during Sankranthi, and it is going to be Shruti Vs. Shruti at the box office.
Shruti Haasan has been paired opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi in Waltair Veerayya and opposite Balayya in Veera Simha Reddy. Both are mass films driven by star heroes, and most of the time in such films, heroines have little scope except for some scenes and songs.
Though it can be predicted that Shruti might have a better role in Veera Simha Reddy as director Gopichandh Malineni gave her a decent character in their last film Krack, where her character had some interesting twists. Shruti shares a better rapport with Malineni as she has worked with him previously, so chances are this time as well, she might be doing a role that has some substance.
Shruti Haasan has now become the go-to actress when it comes to senior heroes. After Krack and Vakeel Saab last year, this year she is paired with even more senior stars like Chiru and Balayya. Even if one of the films clicks in a big way then Shruti will get some more roles as the lead opposite senior heroes. And if both films work then it will be a double bonanza for her.
Shruti’s biggest bet right now is Salaar where she is the lead heroine opposite Prabhas and if that film hits the bull’s eye then Shruti’s innings in Tollywood will be extended by a few more years.
